Occupational therapy

Occupational therapy - what is it?

Occupational therapy is a professional accompaniment that supports children of all ages if their ability to act is restricted or is at risk of becoming restricted. Our main aim is to support children to strengthen their skills in the areas of independence, self-care, productivity and leisure activities, as well as in their everyday environment.

Some children do not develop motor skills appropriately for their age or struggle with behavioral problems, ADHD or severe anxiety. Children with disabilities, such as Down syndrome, can also benefit from occupational therapy. Our occupational therapists begin with a targeted check, a so-called assessment, to identify the cause of the existing disorder. Based on these results, we adapt our occupational therapy measures individually to each child and their environment in order to achieve optimal results. Involving and advising parents is a key success factor in occupational therapy.

The focus of our treatment is always the child with their unique needs and relationships, their entire body and their psyche. An outstanding advantage of occupational therapy is its diversity. We offer a wide range of measures and options, including behavioral therapy approaches, concentration training, methods to improve equilibrium, balance and coordination, and to promote sensory perception and processing.

The selection of therapeutic approaches is based on the individual therapy goals and their effectiveness has been scientifically proven. With consistent implementation and in close
